Windows 8 Game to Create Words Using Alphabetical Grid: Word Up!
Word Up! is a free app for Windows 8 and 8.1 devices in which the aim of the game is to create words of as many letters as possible by clicking on the letters shown on the alphabetical grid. When you run the game, you will be presented with an option to start the game. Once you have started the game, you will be shown an unordered grid of letters on your screen. You have to click on these letters in such a way and order that they form a meaningful word at the bottom of the screen, and once you have done that, simply click on the Word Up! button and you will be awarded the points for the same. Each incorrect word costs you negative points, and each correct word grants you score depending on the length of the word that you have typed.

Main features of Word Up! for Windows 8 and 8.1:
When you launch the Word Up! game on your device, you will be shown the below interface.
Here, you can either choose to play the game, or click on the question mark button to view the help section of the game. For now, we will go ahead and click on the Play button. As soon as you click on the Play button, you will be presented with the below interface on your screen.
As you can see in the screenshot above, you will be able to see a timer running at the bottom right corner of the screen. You have to make as many words as possible during this time. When you click on a letter in the grid, the letter is shown at the bottom. You have to click on the letters in a fashion so that you form a meaningful word. Once that’s done, you can click on the Word Up! button and points will be allotted to you. You can see your score and letters used at the bottom left of the screen. If you use the golden letters, you get higher points for the words that you form.
Once the game is over, you will be shown a screen much like the above interface where you will be able to see your score. You can choose to start a new game from the above screen as well!

Word Up! is a nice game app for Windows 8 and 8.1 which sharpens your English vocabulary by allowing you to type words from a limited grid of letters shown on your screen. The app has smooth animations and is definitely worth a download!
