Black Rainbow HD is a free mystery game app for Windows 8 and 8.1. When you run the game, you will be asked to enter your name with which your player profile will be created. Once you have entered your name, you will be able to access the main menu of the game where you will be presented with the options to start the game, access its settings etc. When you click on the Play button, you will be able to choose the difficulty level of the game that you wish to play, and upon doing that a brief game video will play on your screen. Once you are through this, you game will start with a brief tutorial.

When you run the game you will see the below screen first on your device.
Upon entering your name in the game, just click on the green tick and you will be taken to the main menu of the game.
Here when you click on the Play button, you will be asked to select the difficulty level of the game that you wish to play. Once you have chosen the appropriate difficulty level, you will be shown a brief game video.
The video has high quality graphics and is designed in a way which is pleasing to the eye. Once the video is over, you will be brought to the gameplay screen. Here, you will be asked if you want to see the tutorial or not. 
If you choose to access the tutorial of the game, you will be brought to a screen which points to the places where you can click and interact with objects, zoom in on items, pick them up etc. One of the zoom scenes can be seen in the screenshot below.
You can interact with the objects by clicking on them and they will appear in your inventory at the bottom of the screen if they can be picked up. If they are clues, they will go into your diary which can be accessed by clicking on the Diary button at the bottom left screen corner. The diary looks like the below screenshot.
There are certain minigames in the game which have to be completed to proceed further. One of them can be seen below.
The game can also be paused by clicking on the Esc. key.
